Dr. Chan is a well-experienced geologist and entrepreneur. He is the founding CEO of Dragon Mining, which started as a Mining Consulting Company in 2011, involving in a number of evaluation and valuation, acquisition, listing of a number of mineral assets primarily on Hong Kong Stock Exchanges. The Company later on evolved to include in-house drilling, mining and metallurgy team and moved further upstream in exploration targeting, resource definition, feasibility studies, and mine development. Minerals covered primarily gold assets, with copper, iron, coal, potash, tin, limestone covering D.R.Congo, Ethiopia, China, Kazakhshtan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Mongolia.

The Company evolved into a mining investment platform in 2015 that invested in a number of advanced mineral exploration projects. Besides investment, the company usually took part in active management of the exploration program, and pushing the projects into feasibility stage. That included the resource definition of the world-class potash deposit-Satimola in Kazakhstan; discovery, resource definition and feasibility studies of the 4M Oz Giro Gold project in NE D.R. Congo; discovery to mining of the 500k Oz Charaltyn gold project in Central Kazakhstan; resource definition, feasibility studies, mining development and rehabilitation of a Molydenum deposit in southern China, to mention but a few.

In D.R.Congo and Tanzania,Dr. Chan also worked together with Tetra Teck trying to replace the toxic mercury with non-toxic bromide in the artisanal mining of gold.

During COVID, Dr. Chan adjoined with other experts targeting to move further downstream to deep manufacturing of iron into pig iron in the GREEN STEEL industry, and from dolomite to magnesium ingot in the HYDROGEN BATTERY industry. He has also discovered huge mineral (tin and gold) potential in the old degraded area by artisanal miners along >1000 km of Amazon river in Brazil. He has convinced the Brazilian government to grant a special PRAD license over one of those destructed areas for the extraction of valuable minerals, as well as forest replantation and rehabilitation.
